Life's Biggest Surprise

Dress: MNG by Mango @ JcPenney | Shoes & Belt: Target | Earrings, Bracelet & Ring: Forever21 | Necklace:Rasbarri

I wore this dress to my friend's baby shower this past weekend.  The rules were to wear pink if you think it's a girl or blue for a boy. Guess what I think SHE is going be? I can hardly wait for Baby Lyla to be here, BUT if she turns out to be Baby Kellan I will love him just the same!

I have to give major high fives to them for not finding out the sex. There is no way I could handle waiting nine months for a surprise. The suspense would probably put me into early labor! I mean, you are looking at a girl that can hardly wait one month to open presents at Christmas. So, as soon as we were able to find out the sex of our babies we jumped on it without the slightest hesitation.

Their philosophy is that this is the ONLY surprise you will ever experience where nobody knows, well except for God and the person performing the sonogram...but you get the point.

What would you do? Would you say, "Tell me now" or "I'm going to wait it out"?

Cheers to Becky and Michael! Only two more weeks! Love you guys!

I would have to find out for sure!! No doubt, I'm to much of a planner!

On another note I seriously think I saw you walking in Austin Saturday! We were driving around trying to get to Z Tejas and I was checking everything out and said "oh my gosh that looks like Shanna"! My friend who does not blog thought I was crazy when I explained... I'm seriously not a stalker :) But the Shanna look-alike was wearing a very similar color dress if it wasn't you!

You look great as always! Love those earrings too!

I love those earrings!

And I don't think I'll be able to wait. It would be too much of a suspense. Maybe on the second one once we had all the baby stuff already, but on the first one I think I'll have to know so that I can buy stuff!

I think it would so hard to wait, but I kind of want to with my first! I was the first child and my parents didn't find out my sex before I was born, so I want to do the same thing... want being the key word there. I'm not sure if I will actually be able to hold out!

In other news, I love your dress and you look adorable per the usual :)

Beautiful dress! The color and pleating is perfect. There is no way I could wait to find out the gender, but I can see how it would've a fun surprise. :)

I adore the pleats on this dress! I can never wait for anything either I have little to no patience lol Props to them for being able to wait to find out that takes some major willpower.

And I am with you - there is no way I could wait to find out the baby's gender!! One of my besties just had her baby last week and they didn't find out that she was a girl until she was born! I was so amazed by them, haha!

I love these kinds of parties! The one I heard of though, they cut the cake and reveal through what color the inside is if its a boy or a girl. Very cute!

1) Love the dress.
2) I would need to know, I mean, I respect people who like to keep it a surprise, I REALLY DO, but I like to shop... and with my luck I'd end up having a boy with nothing but pink to wear. :)

Loving your blog! Stop by and say hi sometime :)

Um definitely tell me now! I'd admire the people who can wait. I made a deal with my husband that if we found out the sex of the baby the first go round, the second go round we wouldn't. But it was a flat out lie. I can't not know! Hopefully he forgets the deal ;)

Love that dress. The color is gorgeous on you!

Love the earrings and dress! You look great! I'm tempted to not find out with the next baby. If it's a boy then we are already set up with tons of boy stuff. If it's a girl, then well, she just might have to wear little boy onesies until we could go shopping! I think I like the idea of a surprise...

That's such a fun shower idea, and I love your dress to support your selection of sex. All my friends are having boys this year. I really hope I have the willpower not to find out when the time comes as it is the last big surprise you can have but I'm not sure I will.

I don't know what I would do! There are some many things to prepare for when having a baby. Is it a pink room or blue. Do you need Pee Pee TP's (a new term I learned at a shower I had never heard of)? But, it truly would be the greatest suprise!
